Technology Plan Information


The Mankato School District has developed a simple survey that other districts are welcome to use/adopt. The survey is tied to 5 district-wide technology goals of 1) Empowered Students, 2) Enhanced Teaching, 3) Extensive Resources, 4) Effective Administration, and 5) Established Infrastructure. (The district tech committee looked at enGauge, and decided it did not meet their needs.)

The survey (which is web-based) consists of about 15-20 statements about an aspect of technology in each of the five areas. Survey takers are asked to rate on a 1-4 Likert scale their current level of satisfaction with each aspect and the priority to which that aspect should be given over the next 3 years. Trial test takers indicated that it could be completed in about 20 minutes.
