Data and Video Ownership and Insurance Information


The Alpine Ethernet Switch located at all SOCRATES sites and the Tandburg 880 Video Codec located at all SOCRATES video sites are the property of Hickory Tech. The school district is responsible for insurance coverage on this equipment, and it should be added to the school district's master insurance policy, along with the monitors, racks, and other equipment that you have in the video room. You should remove the PictureTel Video Codec and the Ascend Bandwidth Manager from the insurance policy since these items are no longer in use.

For insurance purposes, the value of each equipment item is:

Alpine 3802 Switch: $9,990
Tandburg 889 Video Codec: $9,975
