Criteria and Guidelines for Review of Video Usage
(effective July 1999)

1. Site is not offering or receiving an ITV class this school year and is not scheduled for an ITV class for 2001 school year.

-OR-

2. Site has not used the video network for conferences and/or video field trips at least an average of two times per month in this school year.

3. No participation by the site’s ITV coordinator and/or advocate in regional educational, informational, and planning activities.

4. Sites which became operational during 1999-2000 school year are not subject to consideration for termination for non-use until they have been operational for at least six months.

5. Video equipment at participant sites that cease operation of their video connectivity will be taken by SOCRATES for use at other sites and as back-up equipment to replace equipment not working at participant sites.

6. The cut-off date for video usage review for decisions relating to funding for the next fiscal year will be April 1 of each fiscal year.

Note: If this criteria were implemented for 1998-1999, no video site would be terminated.
